Rose Valley is home to many businesses, and community groups. The town runs a rink and a community hall, as well as having a senior citizen's manor, a seniors drop in centre, a health centre, and a medical clinic with regularly visiting doctors, and a full service Canada Post outlet. Our town also has a branch of Cornerstone Credit Union, a branch of Parkland Regional Library, and a well trained Volunteer Fire Department run jointly with the R.M. of Ponass Lake #367.
Rose Valley is home to four churches, all with welcoming congregations; these churches are United, Lutheran, Roman Catholic and Ukrainian Catholic denominations.

The Rose Valley & District Heritage Museum features permanent exhibits that display artifacts and interprets aspects of life in the area through the latter part of the 19th century to the recent past. Shamrock Ambulance runs a local ambulance service, and our town hosts an R.C.M.P. barracks and is the head office of the Greenwater R.C.M.P. Detachment
